After suffering a severe accident at the age of 22 that resulted in tetraplegia—which gave me the extraordinary gift of experiencing a near-death experience—and after practicing and studying the precious wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as other fields of knowledge, for more than 30 years, I have devoted a significant part of the last five years to writing this work. It has two objectives: to contribute to the improvement of society and the world in general, and, along the same lines, to raise funds for humanitarian projects (of the NGO Jin-Pa, an association I preside over) and to create a scholarship fund for the study of the Dharma (Tibetan Buddhism).
